Owner & President

Jim Zhang is the owner and President of Pureland Hospitality. With over a decade of senior banking experience in private banking and wealth management for high-net-worth individuals and families, Jim has also garnered extensive expertise in commercial real estate development. His diverse background includes more than 10 years in hotel acquisition, development, and management.

Under Jim’s leadership, Pureland Hospitality excels in identifying lucrative hotel investment opportunities. He has established a reputation for managing hotel assets effectively, fostering trust with equity partners. Jim is dedicated to enhancing equity partner value through the distribution of attractive dividends and long-term capital appreciation.

KAREN LIN

SVP, Strategic Planning

Karen Lin’s passion for the hospitality industry has fueled an impressive career spanning over a decade. She began her journey in hospitality by underwriting hotels, conducting in-depth market studies, and performing comprehensive Gross Operating Profit analyses for hotel acquisitions.With over ten years of financing experience, including real estate development lending, Karen has successfully managed over $160 million in commercial real estate lending since 2006. Her tenure at Ipsos, a leading global market research company, has further honed her marketing research skills.

Karen has built extensive expertise in strategic business planning for the hotel industry, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, revenue analysis, budgeting, and forecasting for more than a decade. Her master’s degree in statistics has sharpened her skills in underwriting, revenue and financial analysis, and hotel management.
